Christopher Mercer, aka Rusko was born in Leeds in 1985 to a musical family. From day one, Rusko was surrounded by music. Whether it is his family’s pianos, guitars, banjos and saxophones, or the heavy reggae and dub sound systems of later years in Leeds, music has always been an integral part of Rusko’s life.

After graduating from Leeds College of Music with a degree in Music Production, Rusko discovered the world of dubstep through the Leeds club night Subdub and a debut appearance from the Digital Mystikz. Having spent the past 10 years making future dub alongside Leeds very own Iration Steppas, Rusko connected with the sound and moved down to London to further advance his musical opportunities with Sub Soldiers label mate Caspa.

Veering away from the dark, serious side of the sound Rusko brought a highly driven energy and fun approach to the dubstep massive and quickly coined his own take on the genre and turned the scene upside down. His sound appealed to many people outside of the dubstep world as his productions became more adventurous in formula, sound and energy. His huge hit Cockney Thug has been played by everyone from Pete Tong, Switch, Diplo and Santogold, and has been remixed by Buraka Som Sistema, Diplo, Caspa, Drop The Lime and the Scratch Perverts.

Now at 25, Rusko is only in first gear, with collaborations on the table with the likes of Switch, Diplo , Yo Majesty and Wiley, the future sure is looking bright. Already setting the radio airwaves alight with his own productions and remixes of artists like Adele and A-Trak featuring Kid Sister, Rusko is headed in the right directions. Onwards, upwards and far beyond what most producers can dream of. Rusko’s debut album, O.M.G.! was released May 4, 2010 on Mad Decent, and his next album, entitled “Songs”, is due to be released in March 2012.

Easily one of the most technical hard dance DJ’s in the world and a member of the world famous Tidy Trax record label, Rodi Style has firmly established himself as an artist like no other. He is an award winning DJ (Hard Dance Awards 2008), a producer whose music is supported by all the biggest DJs including regular plays on BBC Radio1 and a label owner (Kung Fu Wax/Tech Fu Recordings) managing high quality hard dance music.

As one of the few forward thinking DJs in the Hard Dance industry pushing the boundaries of technical showmanship, Rodi Style’s abilities to layer, blend, warp and scratch have propelled him onto the stages at Global Gathering, Creamfields, Coloursfest, Lovefest, Magna as well as the legendary Tidy Weekenders. In 2008 he was selected by Tidy to mix the award winning “Music For A Harder Generation” series album alongside Andy Whitby and has gone on to record further album’s for Tidy such as their Tidy Music Library Series and Weekender Live albums. Recent accolades also include a guest mix and inteview in the world famous BBC Radio1 studios in London.

Together with hard dance colleague Ben Stevens, the two also perform together as “Chaos Theory”. A joint live project involving the use of cutting edge technology to bring a unique experience like no other in the hard dance world.

Committed to bringing high quality hard dance music to the world, Rodi Style also runs two labels “Kung Fu Wax” and “Tech Fu Recordings” alongside Canadian artist DJ Audy. Having garnished massive support including 17 compilation licenses and continuous support on BBC Radio1, both labels continue their progression with bright futures.

Dash Berlin is a true DJ at heart with a profound passion for the comprehensive culture of dance music. He is often described as an invigorating and charismatic newcomer, with the unique ability to leave a long-lasting impression upon his audience well after the night is over. Dash is one of those rare individuals that seems to understand the unwritten laws of the nightclub by nature. He keeps his ever expanding, nocturnal following alert, ecstatic and craving for more, with remarkable precision and skill. One could easily mistake him for a superstar deejay. However, the truth remains that Dash Berlin views the world through the same eyes as his public. “It’s virtually impossible to make progress without the continuing support of the people”, he humbly said.

While the past few years have seen the polished productions of Dash Berlin take centre stage after the release of ‘The New Daylight’ album, the past 12 months have seen DJing become the focus. The ‘United Destination’ compilation saw release in April (set to become an annual concept), with DJ frontman Jeffrey Sutorius performing far and wide around the world.

A busier-than-ever DJ schedule has meant there’s barely been time for Dash Berlin to take a breath in 2011. “It has been an epic year; a roller-coaster ride without breaks at times. I think I saw every corner of the world twice while touring,” Sutorius says with a smile. “Raising the roof together with the big crowds at major festivals like EDC, Mayday, Eurofest and of course the legendary ASOT500 celebration with Armin, they’ve all been unforgettable moments.”

A weekly residency in Ibiza with Paul Oakenfold at the sprawling Privilege also meant Dash Berlin’s distinctive vocal trance was transported to more ears than ever before, and this was consolidated with the first big push into the US, on a sold-out tour that stretched from New York to Las Vegas.

“A spontaneous collaboration with ATB has also been a real highlight this year, melting our sounds together in the track ‘Apollo Road’, which we performed together for an exploding crowd in Poland as an exclusive surprise act at his solo concert,” says Sutorius. “It’s simply been an amazing year and it isn’t even over yet.”

“I have a weak spot for vocals, because of the story-telling element, which can literally move people to tears. The way a crowd responds to different sounds or a certain type of arrangement is essential information to me. Capturing that dancefloor vibe in the music is key in the constant development of my signature sound.”
